I teach on UHI’s MA Art and Social Practice. This is a programme designed for socially engaged art practitioners. My teaching focuses on ‘communities of practice’ (Lave and Wenger 1991) and the relationship between practice and research. I also supervise research students on UHI’s Creative Practice pathway, which includes the MRes Creative Practice and PhD Creative Practice.

These courses are delivered through the Centre for Island Creativity, UHI Shetland. Students do not need to be based in the Highlands and Islands. We have students in a wide range of locations and they do their own projects in the places they live.

Follow Social Art Practice at UHI on Facebook or visit the MA Art and Social Practice website to find out more.
